INSTRUCTORS

LISA WEBB

Lisa is a true believer in the power of movement!  After a back injury in college, found a path to recovery and pain-free movement in Pilates exercises.  She also discovered that guiding other people to recovery was incredibly rewarding and pursued a career in health and fitness. Xtend Barre replaced the cardio she got dance rehearsals and TRX replaced any desire for gym equipment. Since 2007  has been a full-time instructor in Los Angeles and New Orleans, and opened the doors to FPB in 2012. She is also a Pilates Master Trainer through Balanced Body and teaches all Pilates Teacher Trainings throughout the year. She is proud that FPB specializes in injury prevention and rehabilitation, pre/post natal workouts, pelvic floor awareness and safe fitness for clients living with Multiple Sclerosis.

She is available for personal training and is also a certified Heath Coach.

HANNAH HERRING

Her love of fitness grew when she became a Nutrition and Dietetics major at the University of Arkansas in 2014. While Hannah had learned so much about nutrition, she desired to become a well-rounded, total-fitness expert. In 2017, Hannah became an ACE certified personal trainer and is now a certified Xtend Barre instructor. She aims to never stop growing and learning and thrives on the opportunity to help others learn and become more healthy, one day at a time.

JAY DEE MENCHUE

Jay Dee realized the transformative power of Pilates when she moved to Fayetteville in 2013. She loved how the workouts made her feel and enjoyed the whole culture that surrounded a healthy and fit lifestyle. After some health issues and a hysterectomy, Jay Dee decided it was time to leave the fast-paced, stress filled life of restaurant management and joined the team of FPB as studio manager. She has dedicated 2017 to deepening her Pilates practice and continually working towards whole body health. She has completed Mat 1 & 2 and Reformer 1 & 2 of the Balanced Body Training Program with Lisa Webb and is ready to share her knowledge with you! Her classes focus on proper breathing, modifications for real-world bodies, and correct alignment so that her clients make the most of every movement. Join Jay Dee for a class or Personal Training session and prepare to feel the shake…. and love every minute of it!

SUSANNE WALLER

Holistic health has always been important to Susanne – body, mind, and spirit.  Her education is in business (BSBA and MBA), but her passion is all about being a whole healthy person and helping others find that. Exercise has been important to Susanne since she was a teen, when she jumped on the high impact aerobics train in the 80’s and munched on celery, watching Richard Simmons on TV (not really!). Raising 4 kids with her husband, Matt, has kept Susanne very active over the past 20 years.  She has learned it’s easy to get focused on those around and their needs, and forget that personal wellness is critical to enable yourself to help others!  Susanne loves that Pilates transfers to everyday life and enhances strength, balance and flexibility so we can live fuller, healthier, more satisfying lives. Pilates is for everybody, whether strong or weak, super fit athletes to those recuperating from illness or injury, even recovering from childbirth and losing those extra pounds. She discovered Pilates about 10 years ago and realized that THIS is the type of movement that she need to be doing.

Tara has movement experience in Foundation Training, the Feldenkrais method, dance, Pilates, yoga, kettlebell training, weightlifting, and a myriad of fitness classes. Tara specializes in teaching efficient and precise bodyweight movement firmly based in principles of human biomechanics. Tara has been fortunate to study with several movement mentors including two Physical Therapists, one with a spinal rehab specialty. She has worked with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of stability and is looking forward to helping the clients of Fayetteville Pilates & Barre.

POLICIES

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations for a group class reservation or private session must be made at least 24hrs in advance to avoid a “Late Cancel”. Reservations that are not cancelled before the 24hr deadline (Late Cancel) will cause the class to still be deducted from your account.

You are free to manage your class schedule through our online scheduling system, which includes the ability to cancel your spot in a class. You can also give us a call or send us an email if you need to cancel or change your reservation.

This policy also ensures that we won’t late cancel on you!

Dress Code Policy

Anything that you can move freely in is acceptable, but baggy clothing makes it harder for instructors to see if your alignment is correct. We recommend yoga style pants and close-fitting tops for women; men can wear gym shorts or pants and a t-shirt. (Of course, if your shiny green unitard is screaming to be brought back out of the closet, you are welcome to wear that, too.)

Socks with grips required. For sanitary reasons, we ask all of our clients to wear socks. For safety reasons, we need socks to have rubber grips on the bottoms (our floor can be very slick with regular socks). We have socks for sale at the studio, but you are free to bring in any kind of clean socks with grips.

No heavy perfumes or colognes, out of respect to those with chemical sensitivites.

Cell Phone Policy

If you must bring your phone with you into the studio, please make sure that it is set to silent.

Inclement Weather Policy

We will be closed for classes if the Fayetteville Public Schools are closed. We will do our best to inform all of our clients of any cancellations via e-mail or phone calls, but please be sure to check the online schedule before class during bad weather.
